After majority of their users expressed their wish of having moving backgrounds for the Cosmos theme, we decided to work on this request officially and worked on introducing dynamic backgrounds to most of the families.

Frost 4.0 brings an innovative side to the world of writing apps by creating the first-of-its kind dynamic backgrounds that help you focus rather than distracting you. Read through how we added these subtle animations in our beautifully crafted themes to help you elevate your writing experience.
Lightening
Added to the Dark family and the Rooms family, we added mysterious lightening animations that set the ambiance on a dark page. Accompanied with thunder and rain soundscapes.
Café Lights
Subtle flickers of light that add that golden hour ambiance to your café experience. Tiny light bulbs that hang from the top of the page accompany you in the Cafe theme in both the Rooms family and the Baroque family.
Stars (Still)
Added to the Nightfall family, still stars that flicker and twinkle by at the same coordinates accompanied with crickets sounds to complete that night ambiance.
Stars (Dynamic)
Animation that makes you travel in the universe as the stars zoom past you. Beautifully integrated in the Cosmos family. Best experienced on Orpheus and Alsama.
Northern Lights
Another beautiful addition that sparks over the page top in the Nightfall family. Aurora animations were kept very minimal and subtle to help you calm down and get into the zone.
Floating Clouds
One of our favorite backgrounds animations added on the Summer (Coast) family. Take our word for it that’s what Wordsworth meant when he said ‘I wandered lonely as a cloud.’
Snow
The most obvious one, added in the Holidays family that gets you ready for your next Christmas story.
